Hi there. This is me. I lived in northern Illinois my whole life, until a few years ago- my husband and I moved to France. More than anything, I love to be outside: running, hiking, walking, biking, picnicking, but I also enjoy being in the kitchen, eating desserts, and reading on the windowsill with our cat, Pinot.

I take lots of photos and never leave the house without a camera. I am always on foot. I don't drive. I'll always take the scenic route.

Location

So where am I? I live in a small French village called Challex, which is situated on a hill in the valley between the Alps and the Jura mountains. The town sits above the Rhone River, bordering Switzerland, and is surrounded by vineyards, forest, and farm fields. To me, it is perfect - and even has it's own patisserie - what more could anyone need?
